Rwandans aboard an SN Brussels flight in transit at Brussels Airport had to spend a night at the airport while passengers from other countries were chauffeured to hotels because of an existing Belgian Law.

The Kigali bound plane from the US, is reported to have experienced technical difficulties leading to the cancellation of the flight.

According to the Law, Rwandans are among those barred from getting Schenghen visas into Belgium from entry points.

Authorities from the Belgian airline were not immediately available for comment by press time.
