AFTER successfully organising the first ever Rwanda Music Awards last year, Kubana Events, is organising, yet another talent show which will give Rwandans the opportunity to compete for prizes.

The event dubbed ‘Talent Show Awards’ will take place on Friday May 21, at Laico Umubano Hotel in Kacyiru.

Speaking to The New Times, the founder of Kubana Events, Aimable Kubana explained that this year’s talent show will mainly focus on sports and dance, however, The Brothers—a local music group will present their newly released album ‘Impinduka’ (Revolution).

"Last year we awarded the best local musicians, but this year we want to also give chance to sports and dance talents,” Kubana said.

Dance contestants will compete in modern dance and salsa only. Kubana added that the aim of the event is to give Rwandans chance to showcase their talents and to motivate them.

Some of the prizes will include cash, and air tickets to South Africa and Holland.

"Winners in different categories will have the lifetime opportunity to attend the World Cup in South Africa,” Kubana added.

‘Talent Show Awards’ is sponsored by City Radio, Kenya Airways, Simba Super Market, Winners (a local fashion shop), and Laico Umubano Hotel.
