This is in reference to your headlines yesterday announcing that His Excellency President Paul Kagame has been elected as the RPF candidate for the forthcoming presidential elections.

Please allow me to congratulate President Kagame on this achievement. The country, which was shattered and battered in a short span of one hundred days during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, has been transformed, under his able leadership into a Rwanda which has registered consistent and steady economic growth and development.

A Rwanda today which offers one the highest levels of safety and security, a Rwanda today which is part of the Commonwealth, a Rwanda which believes in good governance and zero tolerance for corruption, a Rwanda which facilitates all those who want to invest and do business and a country that welcomes all law abiding individuals, companies and NGO’s with open arms.

It is a pleasure to be associated with this country’s renaissance.

I hereby wish President Kagame an astounding victory in the presidential elections and yet another successful term as Head of State.
