TWO referees from Tanzania and Burundi have been told to go home after failing a Fifa referees fitness test held yesterday at Amahoro stadium. Tanzanias Israel Mujuni and Eric Gasinzirwa of Burundi were part of fourteen referees called upon to officiate at this years Kagame Cup which kicks off this afternoon with a Pool A clash between APR and VitalO of Burundi.

Tanzanias Israel Mujuni and Eric Gasinzirwa of Burundi were part of fourteen referees called upon to officiate at this years Kagame Cup which kicks off this afternoon with a Pool A clash between APR and VitalO of Burundi.
The pair has now been replaced by Ugandas Ally Kalyango and Thomas Onyango of Kenya.
Others include Hudu Munyemana (Rwanda), Eric Gasinzirwa (Burundi), Ali Farah (Djibouti), Girma Zakaria (Ethiopia), Caleb Amwayi (Kenya) and Dennis Bate (Uganda).
Assistant referees include; Felicien Kabanda and Theogene Ndagijimana (Rwanda), Aden Marwa (Kenya), Ejigu Sintanyehu (Ethiopia),Ally Kombo (Zanzibar) and Samuel Kayondo (Uganda).
Cecafa has also put in place a referees sub-committee to ensure that referees are in the best possible physical condition.
The committee is headed by Bernard Mfubusa (Burundi), Robert Anangwe (Kenya) and Suleiman Waberi (Djibouti).
