After broadcasting all 64 matches of the World Cup, Pay TV company, DStv Rwanda, has reaffirmed its commitment to provide tailored packages, including festive season promotional bonuses. Connected subscribers will be upgraded to higher bouquets for free from Dec 19, 2022, up to January 24, 2023.

The management of DStv Rwanda said that apart from a wide range of sports channels available to their subscribers, children’s channels and movie channels are still on offer.

"We have had a successful World Cup season, during which games were broadcast in multiple languages. Now we want to inform our customers that we provide more than just sports channels,” Augustin Muhirwa, the Managing Director of Tele10/DStv Rwanda, said.

"We also offer services such as movie channels, children’s programmes, and international news channels. So our packages include diversified content for everyone.”

"Much as our customers appreciate our high-definition image and sports channels, they can also enjoy the different programmes DStv offers.”

Edmond Nkusi, Head of the Sales and Marketing Department at DStv Rwanda, said that DStv is the home of sports, with 20 sports channels, plus ESPN and ESPN 2.

"Now, we have championship games like the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, Serie A, Champions League, and Europa League games as well as Carabao cup and FA,” Nkusi Edmond said.

DStv existing subscribers will be able to watch all the games at Rwf31, 000, while new subscribers will be able to watch the games at Rwf20,000. Including access and a full kit of hardware.

He said that DStv prices are relevant to their packages, contrary to the perception that the packages are expensive, adding that DStv decoders are not as expensive as some people may think.

A decoder is available at Rwf5,300 with the Access Bouquet of Rwf14,700, which also includes the festive season bonus subscription.

The DStv Rwanda management pledged to continue providing services on the sports channels as well as the movies and news channels, including on the Family Bouquet.
