THE inaugural Umurenge Kagame Cup tournament, played at sector level countrywide is underway. On Saturday, the tournament will head into the 1/16th round before the finals slated for May 30.

According to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sorts and Culture Jean Pierre Karabaranga, the event is held to honour President Paul Kagame’s central role in leading and developing Rwanda.

The event, which has attracted 416 sectors from 30 districts, is jointly sponsored by Minaloc, Minispoc and Ferwafa to a tune of Rwf50m.
