The children at Mburabuturo Primary School had a lot of beautiful things to say about their mother as they remembered Mothers Day on May 9.

"My mother is so loving because she is the one that talks to me when I feel down and corrects me when I do wrong. She cares about me all the time.”

Emmanuel Iradukunda, 14, P.6.

"All parents are kind to their children but mothers are kinder than fathers. For example you can’t tell your father that ‘papa can you buy me Mandazi?’ but you can tell mother anything without being shy.”

Valery Iradukunda, 11, P.4.

"If today am told that you will never see your Mummy again I would be unhappy because that will be the worst day of my life because I miss the person who cares for me.”

Ramech Bizimana, 11, P.5.

"Mothers are the strenght in our lives; when you grow older we visit mothers to seek advice like a young child.”

Gilbert Dushimirimana, 11, P.5.

"What I can never forget about my mother is the kind heart that she has and how she tries hard to make me have a bright future by paying my school fees every year.”

Faruk Masabo, 12, P.6.

"After school I have to help my mummy since we don’t have a housemaid. She first asks me if I am feeling well and that’s why I value my mother’s love.”

Halima Niyonkuru, 14, P.6.

"If my mother had abandoned me; I would be among the many street kids that are all over the city but my mother took the responsibility and cared for me.”

Doreen Mutesi, 12, P 4.

"Special greetings go to my mother who never ceases to take care of my life by educating me so that I can become a good leader in future.”

Ange Abijuru, 12, P.6.

"My mother has done all she can to raise me and provide what I need so that I become a good mother and a good leader in my country.

Joella Mwanukundwa, 12, P.5.
