There are certain seasons that will always stay in the memory, 1989 is the greatest end to a season.

Liverpool and Arsenal meeting on the last day to decide the title in a "winner takes all” game, Michael Thomas cemented his legendary status by scoring the winner in the 89th minute.

On Sunday there will be joy and misery, Chelsea are in the driving seat by a point, and should beat Wigan to take the title, Manchester United have to hope for a Wigan win or draw.

Chelsea v Wigan
A great first season for Ancelotti, he should have wrapped up this title by now but for some careless results. The loss to Wigan last time 3-1 was the start of their decline and though they still were grinding out results, their armour was punctured.

The depth of quality has ensured that Chelsea ploughed though, even without Essien, Bosingwa, and Cole, they were still a good machine. This will be the last home game for many Chelsea players as Ancelotti will clear out many players

For Wigan, Roberto Martinez has crafted a big solid side that also has pace and flair, he has used the Central American scouting network to continue to bring in some classy players who will soon adapt to the English game; Hugo Rodallega, Moreno, Figueroa and co.

They have been hit and miss, beating Chelsea, then losing 9-1 to Spurs, so this game could go either way. The problem with Wigan is that when they capitulate they just concede record goals.

Chelsea win sweep Wigan aside easily 3-0 or even more, Wigan were fearing relegation and now they are safe so they will not try to hard after a long season.

Man Utd v Stoke
This game could be academic if Chelsea wins, but Man U still have to beat Stoke to have a chance, while hoping Wigan hit back and at least draw.

Stoke are tough as nails, all tall, thuggish players with occasional skills and guile.

They play an ugly brand of football but one that is results based and their meagre squad has withstood the pressure of the EPL. They lost 7-0 uncharacteristically as they are usually hard to break down, Man U will not win 7-0 but will sneak a win.

Anything can happen, that’s why we love football. It will take a miracle for Wigan to draw, so it will take a miracle for Man U to win the title. Man U will be a threat next year, Nani has shown that he is one of the great future legends with some brilliant finishes.

Rooney will continue to shine, Berbatov will sulk his way to the exit, the biggest question remains – imagine if Man U had another striker? Ferguson wants Luka Modric from Spurs as a long-term replacement for Scholes.

He needs a finisher like Rooney, because he would have won it weeks ago. 1-0 to Man U but it won’t matter if Chelsea wins.
