Should Journalists Take ‘Giti’?

Giti ruins professionalism

I believe in calling a spade a spade, not a big spoon. When it comes to Giti, let’s truthfully call it a bribe rather than padiem.

What a wicked world! Corruption is taken to another level yet everyone’s fingers are crossed! Many journalists have even made it worse; they never cover stories without Giti.
I am just doubtful about your professionalism, and whoever your media lecturers were, you are seriously disappointing them as you run after very little money in the name of giti!

I suppose any journalist who runs after giti must either have dodged Media ethics lessons or perhaps had papers in his/her ears. Yes, it’s clearly spelt in media ethics that journalists are compromised whenever they are paid to write stories.

Journalists should never become so low as to be corrupted by little money that can only buy a few bottles of soda!

Do you ever wonder why Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for just 30 pieces of silver coins? Woe unto you journalists whose hands itch whenever they think of giti. I have news for you, that little money will only ruin your professionalism.

Infact, if you are the giti type forget about becoming an international journalist. Where will you ever get the courage to go beyond P.R anyway!

It’s a pity that all those companies for which you are doing uncalled for public relations don’t even need it that much; otherwise they would have granted you that job in their offices.

Meanwhile, these days, giti has even graduated to food, drinks and airtime. Imagine writing falsehood or adding lots of flavor to stories just because of food and beers! It’s time for journalists to become serious otherwise you are losing it.

No wonder at respectable functions journalists are often treated as minors. Even a newly born can refer to a journalist as money minded other than career oriented.

I just pity some journalists who flood parties with badges from the same work place but can’t even have the audacity to behave and represent their company values.
But before you invite yourself to a function, seriously consider your dignity and understand that it’s your name that sells you as a journalist.

A journalist’s role is to speak for the people, which includes mentioning where things have gone wrong. Dear giti oriented journalist, since you are blind folded with that little money, when will you ever get that dirty cloth off your eyes and see things the right way?

And if you are broke, please try getting a loan from the bank, rather than comfortably waiting for money that you haven’t really worked for!

It no longer surprises me these days that so many uneducated fools claim to be journalists, yet they lack the basic skills of communication! They can’t write sense, because of giti, which has corrupted them.
