THE second phase of the sitting volleyball and sitball competitions is scheduled to get underway this weekend in Huye according to Celestin Nizeyimana the Secretary General of the National Paralympic committee.

Huye have a two-point lead in both competitions after dominating the first phase.

Nizeyimana told Times Sport that though Cassie Sociale will not sponsor the second phase; Sulfo, Onatracom, Laureus and Ford du Guarantee are ready to bankroll the second phase.

"Cassie Sociale will not sponsor the Huye phase but Sulfo, Onatracom, Laureus and Ford du Guarantee have all come on board,” Nizeyimana said.

Eight teams will take part in the men’s sitball category and they include: Huye, Kivu team, THT, Intwari, UNR, Gatagara (Butare) Gatagara (Nyanza) and Gicumbi, while the ladies fray will comprise of four clubs-Kivu, THT, Kigali Stars and Intwari.

The third phase will be held in Nyanza.
