It’s good to know that our best long distance runner Dieudonné Disi has had a change of heart and will now compete in the Kigali International Marathon scheduled for May 22-23.

A few weeks ago he had ruled himself out of Rwanda’s premier athletics event citing personal reasons but he’s changed his mind and will now run in the full marathon.

It would have been tragic if our very best runner refused to compete in the only international marathon the country holds.

This would have been doubly cruel because he’s going to retire after this years Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.

This might be the last time we, his Rwandan fans, get to see him perform.
