Editor,

Having been involved in the recent 3rd East African Investment Conference held in Kampala, Rwanda is now reaping the fruits of EAC involvement. This meeting ended with several investors expressing interest in investing in the country.

Several people I had talked to, had been wary of the EAC project and especially the free movement of goods, services and labour. Personally, I am pro-EAC and these kinds of conferences give me the confidence to believe that the EAC will be good for all Rwandans.

If we weren’t in the EAC we wouldn’t have been able to attend this meeting and show just how impressive Rwanda’s investment climate is.

Rwanda has marketed herself in the region as the leading choice for investors who want to do business in the region and this marketing is working. It’s a win-win situation.
