Four invited for table tennis Memorial tourney

FOUR countries have been invited to the second edition of the table tennis memorial tournament scheduled for June 19 at Amahoro stadium. The countries invited include Burundi, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and the Secretary General of the National table tennis federation Celestin Nizeyimana told Times Sport that this year’s event will be preceded by a three day training camp for all players that will take part in the competition.

FOUR countries have been invited to the second edition of the table tennis memorial tournament scheduled for June 19 at Amahoro stadium.

The countries invited include Burundi, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and the Secretary General of the National table tennis federation Celestin Nizeyimana told Times Sport that this year’s event will be preceded by a three day training camp for all players that will take part in the competition.

"We have invited internationally certified coaches with vast experience to handle a three-day training camp, which is aimed at strengthening skill levels of players at various levels.

We believe that after the camp, we will have a competitive tourney,” Nizeyimana said. The tournament is open and matches are will be played under the following categories; U-13, U-18, seniors and veterans.

The tournament will be sponsored by Vision Youth Group in conjunction with the National table tennis federation.
