"I love reading because both my teacher and parents advise me to revise” said Sam Hakizimana, a 12 year-old P.5 student at Kigali Harvest Primary School P.5.

Hakizimana said that he has also come to enjoy reading because it’s the way through which students can perform better in class.

He added that, "The gifts my parents buy for me whenever I perform well encourage me to work harder.”

"I get good books, new clothes and shoes” he said.
"I love and enjoy reading most especially when I am with my friends at school or at home,” says Rose Mutesi, 11, a P.5 student at Kigali Parents Primary School.

She said, "Whenever I come across something I do not understand, I ask my friends. This makes it interesting because it enables me to understand whatever I read.”

Mutesi also encouraged children to always consult friends, elder brothers, sisters and even parents to help them with reading.
