Uwera says that based on how she gets tight through the week, she owns the weekend joyfully. Below, she tells us how she spends it.

The weekend starts on Friday immediately after work. I get home to rest as I enjoy a cup of coffee. I spend the evening in a quiet environment reflecting on what I managed to do through the week.

On Saturday, I may decide to visit my family in Gitarama, Muhanga district. I spend the day with my sisters and brothers. We have fun and enjoy stories of our past that bring back the memories of the old good days.

I mainly enjoy chips, salads, vegetables, fruits and sweet potatoes. I also move far deep in our village to enjoy the silence and good atmosphere in these places.

If I decide to spend a night in the village, I make sure I travel to Kigali in the morning. Being a Christian, I go for prayers on Sunday and spend the rest of the day at home.

I involve myself in various activities like washing clothes and putting the home in order as well as preparing for Monday.

I get to bed between 9 and 10p.m
That makes my weekend perfect
