She is hot. She is talented. She is Ingabire Joan Butera better known as Knowless.

Knowless is one of the less famous artists but who are fast winning fans. The 18 year-old started singing way back in nursery and church choirs which gave a solid foundation to her music. Knowless however admits that she never dreamt of having her own song aired on radio by then.

She was later inspired to join the music industry after watching live performances of artists and how fans fought to join them on the dais. She was also pushed by the success of her cousin, Young Junior in the industry.

"I feared showbiz but artist performances, lifestyles and my songs themselves made me settle on taking on music,” she says.

The form 6 finalist at ‘APAPER’ is a great admirer of African-American divas, Brandy and Keri Hilson but Rwandese veteran singer Cecile Kayirebwa comes as her role model.

"….and the first time I saw Kayirebwa perform, I just wished to be like her in future,” she confesses. But little did she know that her wish would be granted really soon.

She released her debut R‘nB single ‘Nyunva’ 2009 featuring the ‘Akon voiced’ Young Junior and is almost done with shooting the video.

One man who has promoted many names to fame, Lick Lick has shown interest in Knowless’ talent. He talks of signing the singer to his record label, the ‘Unlimited Records’ as soon as possible.

"She has the talent and her song composition skills are unbelievable. We shall more work with her when we retain her at Unlimited,” said Lick Lick.

Her latest collabor ‘Gangster loving’ with lady rapper Paccy has already made it to many radio countdowns in various towns. She is also working with The Ben and other local stars for fresh releases.

The young diva is determined to undo the male dominance of Rwandan music. I will watch her take wing no wonder she has the voice and beauty it takes.
