Vegetables can be very helpful

There are few things that I dint like eating as a child, but then as I grow older, I am forced to eat them, even if it’s not for the liking part, but at least for the sake of staying healthy.

One of the things that come with aging sometimes, are all manner of illnesses, from high blood pressure to high levels of sugar or cholesterol in the body, thus we are advised by medical practitioners or nutritionists to eat certain foods daily to reduce the risks of suffering from these illnesses.

One of the things that my doctor advised me is to increase salads in my menu. Keeping fit and staying healthy is every one’s dream, yet many a times we do not abide by the laws of eating healthy foods like the salads. Eating salads every day offers numerous health benefits.

It is one of the simplest and healthiest food habits that anyone can commit to. Salads are easy to make and they bring us a few steps closer to our recommended daily serving of fruit and vegetables.

Simply add some of your favorite fat free or reduced fat dressing and experience some of the health benefits

It may be hard to believe that something uncooked can be so good for us, but it is true to the core. Eating a high-fiber diet can help lower cholesterol levels and prevent constipation.

If you frequently eat green salads, you’ll likely have higher blood levels with host of powerful antioxidants (vitamin C and E, folic acid, lycopene, and alpha- and beta-carotene)
A recent study from a Cancer Institute shows that people whose diets are rich in fruits and vegetables have a lower risk of developing cancer, preferably suitably for those who smoke and drink heavily.

Incorporating beans, peas, string beans, peppers, tomatoes, carrots, apples, nectarines, peaches, plums, pears, and strawberries in your salad works real wonder for you, and are especially good for heart.

There are loads of evidence on how nutrient-rich foods supply required nutrition to your body. A salad is something that is very simple to make, and it can fetch us a few steps closer to meet daily vegetable requirement for our body.

Try out with creative ways of adding favorite vegetables, leafy greens, fat free dressing, pieces of chicken or nuts to your salad.

Fiber is an excellent way to aid weight loss. While some people rely upon the best diet pills, others consume a diet rich in fiber and protein. Fiber acts as an appetite suppressant by helping you feel full for much longer.

That is why it is recommended to consume salad prior to your meal in order to reduce your calories intake during lunch or dinner.

Taking daily dose of fruit and veggies will provide you with countless nutrients, which can nurture every cell and organ in our body.

These will provide our body with free-radical fighting antioxidants, which in turn lowers our chances of developing many illnesses, such as heart disease and cancer.

When we incorporate olive oil, avocado, or nuts into our salad, we help our body with the absorption of protective phytochemicals. If you eat the green wonder, your stomach remains filled and you tend to eat less, eventually helping you lose weight and stay healthy.
