THE Director of Organization of French-speaking countries, l’Organisation internationale de la francophonie (OIF), Clément Duhaime, is expected in the country next week for a two-day visit.

Speaking to The New Times, the Director of Europe, America and international organizations in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Ben Rutsinga, confirmed the visit saying that Duhaime is expected in the country on Wednesday.

"It is part of the routine by international organizations to visit and of course, diplomatically, it is about strengthening ties,” said Rutsinga.

Duhaime will pay a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo, and Ministers of Education, Justice and Sports and Culture and visit the Kigali Memorial Centre.

On second day of his visit, Duhaime will travel to the National Museum of Butare, in Huye District and inaugurate the new Itorero Centre in Nyamagabe.
