Editor,

I want to thank the South African city of Durban, one of the host cities for the World Cup, for agreeing to initiate a cargo flight directly to Kigali International Airport to facilitate in the transportation of Rwanda’s products which will be showcased during the month long World Cup.

This facilitation will certainly help Rwandan exhibitors cut down on transport costs and will probably allow them to exhibit even more.

The authorities didn’t have an obligation to assist us in anyway, but it is my belief that they did so because of their Pan-African spirit. This kind of spirit will surely manifest itself even more during the World Cup.

I am sure that guests from all over Africa will be accorded a red carpet welcome. And lastly, I sincerely hope that Rwandan exhibitors will put their best leg forward and show the world what Rwanda really is.
