This is in reference to letter written to your newspaper from a resident of Kagugu on the 23rd April. We would like to reply to customer’s concern about water shortage in that area.

As published in New Times of 13th April and broadcasted on various media outlets,the current water shortage in some areas of Kigali  is due to the damaged main water pipe from Nzove water treatment plant from which almost a quarter of the volume supplied within Kigali city is channeled.

We, therefore, wish to inform the public and customers in Kigali city especially areas supplied by the pipeline from Nzove , Kagugu , Gisozi and Kicukiro that the repair works are still ongoing and we expect the works to be completed by the end of this week.

The Management of Reco&Rwasco takes this opportunity to express its regret over all inconvenience this situation has caused.
