APR FC have confirmed the signing of Ivorian forward Amani Kouadio Kan Michel Breygeneve, making him the club’s first foreign acquisition of the current transfer window ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The reigning champions unveiled the 27-year-old on Saturday, June 20, after he signed a two-year contract with the military side.

Kouadio arrives from AFAD Djékanou, where he enjoyed a prolific 2025/26 campaign, finishing as the top scorer in Côte d’Ivoire’s top-flight league with 17 goals.

Primarily a left winger, the Ivorian is expected to bolster APR FC’s attacking options with his pace, creativity, and eye for goal as the club gears up for both domestic competitions and continental assignments.

He becomes APR FC’s second signing of the transfer window following the return of defender Christian Ishimwe from Police FC.

The club is also reportedly in advanced negotiations with several foreign players, including Stade Malien midfielder Mamadou Traoré, TP Mazembe defender Madou Zon, and Mozambican goalkeeper Ernan Siluane.

The potential arrivals could fill the void left by departing players Aliou Souané, Mamadou Sy, Niyomugabo Claude, and Mahamadou Lamine Bah, all of whom are expected to leave the club this offseason.

APR FC will represent Rwanda in the CAF Champions League and are also expected to compete in the CECAFA Kagame Cup, which will be hosted in Kigali in July.

The regional tournament was initially scheduled to kick off on July 18 but has since been postponed to July 25.

Sindi, Muhawenayo join Marine FC

Meanwhile, Marine FC have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season with the signings of winger Paul Jesus Sindi and goalkeeper Muhawenayo Gad.

Sindi, 20, joins the Rubavu-based side after leaving Rayon Sports upon the expiration of his contract at the end of the 2025/26 season. He made 16 league appearances for the Blues last season, having joined the club in 2024.

Muhawenayo, meanwhile, arrives from Gorilla FC on a two-year deal. The goalkeeper featured in 16 league matches last season, recording six clean sheets while conceding 18 goals.

Marine FC are rebuilding their squad following reported several departures, including midfielder Mubarak Nizeyimana, who recently completed a move to Rayon Sports.
