Bugesera vs AS Kigali (postponed)

OLIVER Amani Mbekeka scored a brace and got involved in the other two as 2008 champions APR produced a brilliant second half display to defeat GSRR 4-1 in one of four games played on Sunday.

The result moved APR to 23 points, two adrift of reigning champions and table leaders AS Kigali whose tie with Bugesera had to be rescheduled to April 28 because of a bad pitch.

"It took us a while to adopt but the most important thing is the result,” said APR coach
Egidia Kayitesi.

"It was very important to win because we are now two points off the pace which is ok.”

Anatole Melele and Aimé Flora also got their names on the score sheet for APR.

Else where, Rubavu compounded Rambura’s woes with a 1-0 win, Muhoza beat Les Lionness 2-0 while Inyemera moved into third place after trouncing Ruhango 5-0.
