All Second division clubs will get Rwf.0.5m this season as part of the Frw335 million sponsorship deal that Bralirwa signed with the National football federation last month.

The three year sponsorship deal had the second division allocated Rwf8 million for only this season (they will not be part of the deal next season and the following one) and Ferwafa Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa told Times Sport that the federation executive committee will meet soon to discuss how much money should be given to the league winners.

"Every club will be given Five hundred thousand francs (Frw0.5m) but we are still discussing how much prize money to be given to the league winners.

"We hope that the second division gets its own sponsorship next year because they are supposed to be part of this deal for only this season,” Kalisa said.

There are 16 clubs in the second division which ended recently.

Muhanga, La Jeunesse, Kibuye and Nyanza are the teams that qualified for the playoffs and they will play each other and the winners of the respective ties will be promoted automically to the top flight.
