Rubavu Music Awards celebrate rising and established acts at Kivu Intare Arena.

The second edition of the Rubavu Music Awards and Talent Detection put the spotlight on artists and emerging performers from the lakeside district on Saturday, June 13, at Kivu Intare Arena, in a ceremony aimed at strengthening the local entertainment scene.

The event drew about 400 participants in this year’s talent search and recognized performers who stood out during the 2025-26 season. Organizers said the awards are meant to do more than hand out trophies. "They are meant to identify new talent and give Rubavu’s creative sector a clearer path forward.”
