Rwanda Premier League clubs continue to strengthen their squads ahead of the 2026/27 season, with APR FC and AS Kigali among the busy ones in the transfer market.
APR FC have signed Malian midfielder Mamadou Traoré from Stade Malien. The 27-year-old attacking midfielder is expected to add creativity and experience as the army side prepares for domestic and CAF competitions.
Traoré becomes APR’s fourth foreign signing of the window, following defender Madou Zon, midfielder Amani Kouadio Kan, left-back Michel Breygeneve, and goalkeeper Ernan Siluane.
On the side of AS Kigali, the city club has signed Kennedy Hoziyanna and Emmanuel Niyigena from Marine FC on two-year deals.
The club has also secured the futures of key players, with Aboubakar Uwiduhaye and Tharcisse Nshimiyimana both extending their contracts until 2028.
At Bugesera FC, midfielder Valua Byishimo remains one of the most sought-after players in the transfer window. The 19-year-old scored five league goals last season, including against Rayon Sports and APR FC.
Bugesera are reportedly demanding Rwf30 million for the midfielder, who still has two years left on his contract. Police FC are among the clubs interested in signing him.
Meanwhile, at Rayon Sports, the club has signed Malian winger Keffa Tangara from Djoliba AC. The 24-year-old can play on either wing or as a forward.
In other news, Gorilla FC have recruited attacking midfielder Faradji Iddi from Etoile de l’Est but confirmed the departure of Burundian defender Kevin Uwimana. The club recently added Ghanaian forward Issah Yakubu from Police FC as part of its rebuilding efforts.
