Police FC have parted ways with several senior players following a disappointing 2025/26 season in which the club failed to win any silverware.

Among those released are Allan Katerrega, Lague Byiringiro, David Chimezie, Henry Msanga, and Richard Kirongozi, as the club begins a squad rebuild ahead of next season.

The club had entered the 2025/2026 season with optimism after recruiting new players and appointing a new technical team. However, the changes did not produce the desired results, with the side struggling for consistency in both league and cup competitions.

Sources close to the club indicate that management is seeking a fresh start, with plans to create room for younger players and new signings.

Police FC will be preparing for the upcoming CECAFA Kagame Cup in Kigali. The tournament is expected to provide an opportunity to test new combinations and assess the team's progress ahead of the new season.
