Local artists perform at the 16th Genocide commemoration

Yesterday, all roads led to Amahoro Stadium, with Rwandans and friends of Rwanda commemorating 16 years after the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The opening ceremony was characterized by emontional testimonies from survivours, and comforting speeches from politicians.

Yesterday, all roads led to Amahoro Stadium, with Rwandans and friends of Rwanda commemorating 16 years after the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The opening ceremony was characterized by emontional testimonies from survivours, and comforting speeches from politicians.   

A group of local artists clad in white shirts performed devotional songs, as children also clad in white and purple formed a sign of love. They also recited poems.
