Amavubi appoint Brazilian goalkeeping coach

Brazilian coach Ramos Dal Solio Rogério the newly appointed , goalkeeping coach of the national team, Amavubi.

Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) has appointed Brazilian coach Ramos Dal Solio Rogério as the new goalkeeping coach of the national team, Amavubi.

In a statement released on Friday, May 29, FERWAFA said the move is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen football structures and improve competitiveness at continental and global levels.

Rogério is expected to take up his role on Monday, June 1 and will immediately join the team as preparations continue for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

He joins a technical team led by head coach Stephen Constantine.

The Brazilian brings international experience, having worked with the India and Pakistan national teams, as well as at club level in Spain.

Amavubi have been drawn in Group K alongside Mali, Cape Verde and Liberia in a tightly contested qualifying group.

The technical staff remains focused on building readiness ahead of the campaign.

Constantine has named a 24-man squad for upcoming friendlies against Comoros and Tanzania.

The matches will be played on June 6 and June 9in Marrakech, Morocco, and will serve as key preparation for the AFCON qualifiers starting in September.
