The victory marks Rwanda fifth consecutive win of the tournament after earlier victories against Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, and Mali.

With two matches remaining, the qualification race is entering its decisive stage. Friday clash between Botswana and Kenya could completely reshape the standings. Rwanda will now face Botswana in a match already being seen as one of the biggest encounters of the tournament.

Rwanda equation is simple, one more victory would officially secure qualification to the next stage of the ICC Men T20 World Cup pathway and crown what has already been an outstanding campaign in Botswana.
