Members of the Unity club were prompted to visit vulnerable children with the need to promote sustainability.
On behalf of the Unity club, the desire to support the vulnerable group of people and the first Lady’s initiative, Jeannette Kagame was able to donate Frw 1.8 million to various orphans and Genocide survivors in Kamonyi district towards safer livelihood.

She also donated other assortment of goods including 60 iron-sheets, 1450kg of rice, 1250kg of beans, 94 blankets, mattresses and cooking oil as part of the festive season’s gifts.

It was agreed upon that the money would be allocated to projects run by Genocide survivors in Gihara, Gacurabwenge sector.

The beneficiaries promised to make good use of the donations by helping other survivors with education needs and promised they would be disciplined and good citizens.
It is the responsibility of every adult to take care of children, counselling and advising especially on sexuality.

To protect children from sexual abuse, HIV/Aids and advocate for children rights in their respective communities.

It is important that we encourage and take care of orphans and bring new hope to the children of Rwanda
