Rwanda’s Moshions founder nominated for ASFAs 2022

Moshions, a renowned local fashion house, and its founder Moses Turahirwa, have been nominated for the 'Abryanz Fashion & Style Awards (ASFAs) 2022.

The Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards 2022 will acknowledge and celebrate African fashion stakeholders on Africa’s biggest red carpet under the theme 'The Awakening'.

The awarding ceremony, expected to be held on Friday, December 16, at Kampala Serena Hotel, will celebrate and acknowledge fashion industry stakeholders including designers, stylists, hair and makeup artists, media personalities and influencers on the African continent.

Among the 20 categories Turahirwa is competing in the African Fashion Artist of the Year category while Moshions is competing in the 'African Fashion Brand of The Year' category.

The Rwandan designer faces off top fashion designers including; Larry Jay, Thebe Magugu, Rich Mnisi, Kenneth Ize and Taibo Bacar, while Moshions competes with big brands on the African continent such as African Boy, Ahluwalia World, Daily Paper, Tiffany Amber and Rich Mnisi.

ASFAs have been known for their ability to recognise, inspire and set trends in celebration of a Global Fashion Agenda.

Inaugurated in 2013, the ASFAs set out to recognise and honor fashion and its close functions, coming back bigger and better each year with exemption of 2020 and 2021 due to the global pandemic.
