Creativity, is a path that will lead youth to success and enable them contribute towards national development, Sports and Culture Minister, Joseph Habineza, told Green Hills Academy students.

Mr Habineza, who made the remarks while presiding over the first-ever "Miss and Mr” Green Hills competition held early this week, said he had realized contestants in such competitions lacked the creativity to answer simple questions.

Habineza, however, was happy with the confidence and creativity of the Green Hills contestants. 

Tona Kayihura and Michael Nsengiyumva, both students in Senior Four, were crowned Miss and Mr. Green Hills respectively.

The glamorous event, attracted more than 600 people, who paid Rwf 3,000 for a ticket to watch the competitions. Over Rwf 2 million was raised.

According to Marie Museminali, one of the student organisers, all the proceeds will go to Kamonyi Rehabilitation Centre in the Southern Province, an under privileged children’s centre, Museminali said, has a special attachment to the Green Hills students.

Miss Rwanda, Grace Bahati, was among the four member panel of judges.
