Kenya’s Refigah to open studio in Kigali

Refigah, real name Yusuf Noah, is set to open a branch of his ‘Grandpa Recordz’ soon in Kigali. Refigah said that ‘Grandpa Recordz’ is already established both in Kenya and Tanzania, and works with big artists, including Mr. Blue, Berry White, J.I, as well as Kenya’s top artists Kenrazy, DNA, and Eyshah among others.

Refigah, real name Yusuf Noah, is set to open a branch of his ‘Grandpa Recordz’ soon in Kigali.

Refigah said that ‘Grandpa Recordz’ is already established both in Kenya and Tanzania, and works with big artists, including Mr. Blue, Berry White, J.I, as well as Kenya’s top artists Kenrazy, DNA, and Eyshah among others.

"I want to expand Rwanda’s music industry to the region, and to provide quality music both to Rwandese artists and the public.”

He added: "I intend to also open up a visual production company, and in August we will host top Tanzanian artist, J.I, in Kigali.”

Refigah’s music is well known for being social, cultural and moral while still being entertaining in terms of lyrics and beats. This talented rapper has been praised for his ability to rap and sing in Nubian, Swahili and English.

He has worked with several regional artists, including Uganda’s Buchaman, and Chameleon. Refigah is currently working hard on creating drug awareness in the youth.
