RNOC sets ‘grace period’ for illegal federations

THE National Olympic Committee (RNOC) has given an ultimatum of three months to federations who are yet to attain legal status, according to Secretary General Parfait Busabizwa. To date, only four federations (Karate federation, Association of Physical Education teachers, Chess Federation and ARST) have acquired the status.

THE National Olympic Committee (RNOC) has given an ultimatum of three months to federations who are yet to attain legal status, according to Secretary General Parfait Busabizwa.

To date, only four federations (Karate federation, Association of Physical Education teachers, Chess Federation and ARST) have acquired the status.

"We (executive members) agreed that all federations should be legally recognized in the next three months.”
"RNOC will give them all the necessary assistance to this effect.”

Rwanda’s football federation (Ferwafa),  Rwanda Cricket Association (RCA), Rwanda Rugby federation (RRF), Rwanda Athletics federation (RAF), Kungfu federation and the, National Paralympic committee of Rwanda are some of those federations yet to acquire legal status.
