I know how tricky it is to cross the road alone. As children, you need to be careful when crossing the road.
When attempting to cross a busy road by yourself make sure you do it on a Zebra Crossing.

A zebra cross is a strip of white and black painted in the middle of the roads. At these places there are always traffic policemen who help children to cross safely to the other side.

Also, traffic lights can help you cross the road safely because they control the speed of the cars. Traffic lights are usually set at a junction of a road.

Traffic lights are big round lights normally in colour red, yellow and green.

The red light means cars must stop and this is when you can cross the road. The yellow light means cars are getting ready to go and by this time you should be through with crossing the road. The green light means cars are moving and you must never cross the road at this time.

If you are a place where you can’t find all the signs mentioned above, then always request an adult to help you cross the road.
