"This will be interesting. I will keep it as an Easter surprise for mum and dad,” Lisa said.
The little girl couldn’t wait for, 6:30 pm, when the play was supposed to kick off, at her school. Lisa had invited her parents, on the pretext that Charity, her best friend was stirring in the Easter play.
On realizing that Lisa wasn’t to give up on inviting them, her mum and dad sluggishly went. Here they were, seated before a mega platform with curtains closing it up.
With a slight tune, the curtains were opened.
Mama Lisa’s heart skipped, "Is that not Lisa,” she wondered.
As the introduction went on, Lisa’s parents recognized that their daughter was acting as Mary Magdalene.
"Am sorry but I can’t trust her acting, she has never done this before,” Lisa’s dad commented.
Well, Lisa disapproved her parents; right from the start.
Wearing an oversized maroon robe, Lisa (Mary Magdalene), dashed into her room, leaving Jesus and his disciples seated in the living room. She brought very expensive perfume, with a sad expression on her face; she knelt down and poured it on to Jesus’ feet.
After that, she rinsed him (Jesus) with her hair (an extension that had been planted on Lisa’s head).
And when the crucifixion came and Jesus was up on the cross, below the cross was Mary Magdalene (Lisa) and two other women, sobbing too hard.
"It seems so real, one can barely think it’s a play,” exclaimed Lisa’s sister. Along with the two women, Mary Magdalene (Lisa) takes flowers to Jesus’ tomb, as they weep on.
The curtains are raised, as they announce that it’s the third day, the day when Jesus rose from the dead.
"Why do you seek for a risen person from the dead,” asked an angel. Mary (Lisa) and the two women had taken more flowers to Jesus’ tomb.
"He is risen like he said,” Mary Magdalene (Lisa) said. Lisa was over joyed, running from place to place telling people about the good news.
Facing the audience, "You can also welcome the risen savior into your life. The time is now,” Lisa said.
Surprisingly, Lisa’s father came forward to confess salvation!
"What my daughter acted was really a challenge to me,” he said. 2009 ended up a fulfilling Easter for Lisa; she discovered her new talent and her dad also met Christ.
