DIEUDONNE Disi is expected to undergo further treatment on his hamstring in Holland. The long distance athlete, who flew to Holland yesterday, will be treated at Limonde hospital.

Although it is now official that the 29-year-old will miss the 34th Paris marathon scheduled for April 11, Disi wants to make a speedy recovery for international competitions leading up to the Delhi Games scheduled for October 3-14.

"It’s bad enough that I’m not going to run in Paris but I hope it won’t be long before I start running again,” Disi said.

Disi suffered the injury early this month while running in the Paris half marathon.

In last year’s Paris marathon, Disi finished a distant 18th after clocking 2 hours, 12 minutes and 51 seconds. As expected, the race was dominated by Kenyans and Ethiopians.
