President Paul Kagame on Friday, May 15, received Guinea's President Mamady Doumbouya, who was in Kigali for the Africa CEO Forum.

According to Village Urugwiro, the two Heads of State and their respective delegations exchanged on ways to continue strengthening the productive ties between the two countries, and discussed other mutual priorities, including economic transformation, trade, investment and good governance.

President Doumbouya was in Rwanda where he attended the opening of the Africa CEO Forum 2026.

Doumbouya had arrived in Kigali on Wednesday. He was among six presidents who attended the Africa CEO Forum, which took place from May 14-15, bringing together over 2,800 delegates from over 70 countries.

Kagame also received Botswana&039;s Vice President Ndaba Nkosinathi Gaolathe. They discussed areas of collaboration agreed up on during Kagame’s State Visit to Gaborone last week. On May 6, Kagame and his Botswana counterpart Duma Boko witnessed the signing of six cooperation agreements in various areas, including double taxation avoidance, visa abolition for select passport holders, air services, health, and trade and investment.

As the Affrica CEO Forum closes, Kagame also met with business executives who took part in the conference.

He held meetings with Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Group Chairman of Schneider Electric; Mohammed Akoojee, CEO and Managing Director for Africa at DP World; Abdul Samad Rabiu, Founder and Chairman of BUA Group; and Ylias Akbaraly, Chairman and CEO of Redland Group.

They discussed ways to expand collaboration and explored investment opportunities aligned with Rwanda’s development priorities and economic transformation ambitions, Village Urugwiro said.
