The winter transfer window has already opened in countries such as Sweden, Norway and Finland while the entire Europe gets ready to make trades January 1, 2023 as clubs seek to beef up their squads.

Transfermarkt, a German-based website owned that has footballing information, is the officially approved website platform by FIFA where various clubs check the value of players before they go in for them.

Times Sport takes a look at Rwandan players abroad with the highest market value according to the platform.

Emmanuel Imanishimwe (€500,000)

The AS FAR Rabat left-back is arguably the highest valued Rwandan player currently according to the reputable player transfer website.

Imanishimwe, who is among the best left backs on the African continent has a price value of Euros 500,000 (Rwf566 million), which is the least amount any club that is interested in his services must pay the Moroccan Army club to sign him.

The 27-year-old has played fourteen games so far this season both in the local league and the CAF Confederation Cup, providing one assist.

He was instrumental as FAR Rabat qualified to the Group stages of the 2022/23 CAF Confederation Cup.

Ange Mutsinzi (€275,000)

The CD Trofense guardsman is valued at Euros 275,000 and he is the second Rwandan player with the highest price tag.

The towering centre back has been among the most consistent players in the Portuguese second tier league since his move from APR FC back in 2020.

He was on the wanted list of French Ligue 1 outfit Nantes at the end of the 2021/2022 season.

Rafael York (€225,000)

The AFC Eskilstuna versatile midfielder is among Rwandan players with the highest market value with a price tag in excess of Euros 225,000 Euros to his name.

York has so far made 26 appearances for AFC Eskilstuna in the Swedish second tier this season scoring three goals and providing three assists as he helped his club eighth on the league table.

Steve Rubanguka and Gerard Gohou (€200,000)

Steve Rubanguka who plies his trade with Chisinau Zimbriu in Moldova and Amavubi new striker Gerard Gohou are tied on fourth with a market value of 200,000 Euros.

Rubanguka, who joined Chisinau in June 2022 as a free agent, has been outstanding so far this season as he has been used in various positions in defense and central midfield.

He has made 14 appearances so far scoring one goal.

Gohou, who plays for Aktobe FC in Kazakhstan, is one of the best foreign players to ever play in the country. He already boasts of 105 games scoring 77 goals and providing 20 assists in the Kazakhstan Premier League.
