Despite the absence of an official Team Rwanda entry at the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally 2026, Rwandan flag was still proudly represented courtesy of Queen Kalimpinya’s impressive performance in the colours of KCB Bank Kenya Rally Team.
After suffering a mechanical failure during the opening race on Friday, May 8, that forced her to retire, Kalimpinya bounced back to run the show on Saturday. Her moment of brilliance emerged during the continental rally event when she secured second place in the ARC2 category.

Driving Subaru Impreza WRX STI GVB alongside co-driver Alain Gasarabwe, the duo finished in second place in ARC2 category with a total time of 03:12:15.0. they also ranked second place in ARC Junior, and eighth overall in the ARC classification
Their result came after a demanding rally featuring difficult stages and several retirements among competitors.
Before the rally, Kalimpinya had already expressed pride in carrying Rwanda colors at the event, describing herself as the only Rwandan representative competing during the weekend.
