Matchday 30 of the 2025–26 BK Pro League has intensified both the title race and the battle for the Golden Boot, with several high-stakes fixtures set to shape the final stretch of the season.

Clubs across the league are fighting on multiple fronts—some chasing the championship, others battling relegation, while top scorers compete for individual honours as the campaign nears its climax.

At the top of the table, Al Hilal SC lead with 64 points from 28 matches, followed by APR FC on 56 points. Al Merrikh SC sit third with 55 points, while Rayon Sports FC remain in contention on 48 points.

All eyes are on Kigali Pele Stadium, where APR FC host Al Hilal in a crucial encounter. The Sudanese side hold an eight-point advantage over second-placed APR FC, making the fixture pivotal in determining the direction of the title race.

A victory for Al Hilal would tighten their grip at the summit and potentially open the door for Rayon Sports to close the gap on APR. However, a win for APR would significantly boost their own title hopes and cut the deficit at the top.

The first leg ended in a 2-0 win for Al Hilal, underlining their strong position since joining the league amid the ongoing unrest in Sudan.

Meanwhile, Al Merrikh take on Etincelles FC at Kigali Pele Stadium earlier in the day, in another fixture that could have implications for both the title race and relegation standings.

While defeat for APR would open the door for AL Merrikh to go second with a win over Etincelles, the Rubavu-based club’s hopes of staying in the BK Pro League next season would also be under serious threat.

In the race for the Golden Boot, Djibril Ouattara of APR FC and Taiba Mbonyumwami of Marine FC are level at the top with 14 goals each. Emmanuel Flomo follows with 12 goals, while Gilles Razafimaro remains in contention with 11, keeping the scoring race wide open.

Ouattara lost last season’s top scorer accolade to Bugesera FC star Umar Abba but chances are high that he would finally seal it should he maintain his scoring form in the remaining five match days. He however, faces stiff competition from Mbonyumwami (=14), Flomo and Razafimaro who also have the prize in their sights.

With only a few matches remaining, every point is now crucial—whether in the race for the title, the fight for survival, or the chase for individual glory.
