Mr. Rwagatare was on song

Editor, The New Times Opinion page, yesterday, was an especially satisfying read. I’m a huge fan of Mr. Joseph Rwagatare’s weekly column, but yesterday, he went far and beyond my expectations. Editor,

The New Times Opinion page, yesterday, was an especially satisfying read. I’m a huge fan of Mr. Joseph Rwagatare’s weekly column, but yesterday, he went far and beyond my expectations.

The article ‘The flogged also have rights’ was a masterpiece of satirical and hard hitting writing. And I personally agreed with everything he said.

I don’t think that its just or fair that some people constantly assume to know what is good for Rwandans.

They constantly rail about this and that…but do they ask Rwandans what they want?

I certainly have never got to meet a human rights ‘advocate’ and neither has anyone I know. Who do they talk to? Maybe they fabricate data? I wouldn’t be entirely surprised.

Mr. Rwagatare, keep giving them a pen lashing. I can hardly wait for the next column.
