HUYE - A businessman contracted by Huye district to supply 207 desks to Kinazi Secondary School is on the run after breaching the contract. According to a source at the school, when Hussein Rukinamurwango received Rwf2m as advance payment on a Rwf3.5m deal to supply the desks, he subcontracted another dealer who only supplied sub standard desks District officials revealed that efforts are being made to arrest Rukinamurwango and prosecute him for failing to honour the contract.

HUYE - A businessman contracted by Huye district to supply 207 desks to Kinazi Secondary School is on the run after breaching the contract.

According to a source at the school, when Hussein Rukinamurwango received Rwf2m as advance payment on a Rwf3.5m deal to supply the desks, he subcontracted another dealer who only supplied sub standard desks
District officials revealed that efforts are being made to arrest Rukinamurwango and prosecute him for failing to honour the contract.

"We cannot keep quiet about the loss he caused to the district,” the district vice Mayor in charge of Social Affairs, Aloysie Nyiransabimana said. "There has been some irresponsibility on the part of the Sector authorities who were supposed to supervise the whole activity but all in all the contractor will have to pay for breach of contract.”
