High-flying Al Hilal SC extended their lead at the top of the BK Pro League standings with a 2-0 victory over AS Kigali at Kigali Pelé Stadium on Sunday, May 3.

The win sees the Sudanese giants move eight points clear at the summit, despite having played one game fewer than their closest challengers.

Walieldin Daiyeen broke the deadlock in the 41st minute, giving Al Hilal a deserved lead heading into the break. Salaheldin Adil then sealed the victory in the 80th minute with a composed finish to double the advantage.

The result lifts Al Hilal to 64 points, ahead of APR FC on 56. Al Merrikh SC sit third with 55 points, while Rayon Sports FC occupy fourth place with 48 points.

Elsewhere, Mukura Victory Sports FC suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Rutsiro FC in Huye. Bottom-placed AS Muhanga kept their survival hopes alive with a narrow 1-0 win over Bugesera FC at Muhanga Stadium.
