The Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier Nduhungirehe, on Wednesday, April 29, met with his Saudi Arabian counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

In the meeting held in Riyadh, Nduhungirehe delivered President Paul Kagame's message of solidarity to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Rwanda’s support for Saudi Arabia in the context of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

During the meeting, the two ministers also discussed matters of mutual interest and reviewed ways to further strengthen the longstanding relations between Rwanda and Saudi Arabia.

They highlighted opportunities to expand cooperation in key sectors including investment, infrastructure, and energy, as both countries seek to deepen economic and strategic ties.

Rwanda and Saudi Arabia have in recent years enjoyed growing cooperation across sectors, including health, education, energy and infrastructure development.

Saudi-backed institutions and development funds have supported projects in healthcare and community development, while Rwanda continues to position itself as a strategic investment destination for Gulf partners seeking opportunities in Africa.
