These days’ people live a sedentary life style that doesn’t involve exercising and on top of that eat lots of fatty foods.

Living a sedentary lifestyle is more dangerous for people’s health—muscles become weaker and eventually fall out of shape and develop a lot of fat around your neck and stomach especially.

You will also become more prone to depression and have a less effective immune system.

We all deal with the demands of long hours at work; too much time spent staring at a computer screen and other realities that lead to pushing working out way down on your list of priorities.

According to health experts, 20 percent of all deaths of people above 35 years and above are attributed to lack of physical activity. This is death due to heart attacks, cancer, Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure.

The situation has become so bad that the rise in the number of overweight children has resulted. These children are more likely to be teased by their peers or to develop low self-esteem or body image problems.

In the developed world, it’s sad that more children are being taken for the Gastric by-pass operation to cut down on their weight. Though effective, it’s unhealthy in the long run.

The good news is that vigorous activity can be easily incorporated into most people’s everyday lives– ‘vigorous’ being defined as sweating and getting out of breath.
