Silverbacks profiles

For a team (Silverbacks) dominated by youngsters, it’s surprising to see that they have not lost focus of the task that lies ahead-after all…. It’s still rugby.

Six days before the team heads to Asia (Hong Kong), Times Sport continues to run you through some of the players’ profiles.

Aime Ndahirwa, Winger/Centre

In rugby, one of the key qualities of a Winger is pace; the more Usain Bolt-like, the better. Ndahirwa, 23 has pace and an equally quick eye for gaps and scoring opportunities.

With his 80kgs, he is also not afraid to go for that occasional impact hit that will rattle the unfortunate opponent.

This usually makes the adversary wonder whether to take the next tackle or push a team mate to take it. That one moment of indecision is enough for Ndahirwa to pounce.
