THE HATER : I hate people who…

…always call to blame you for all sorts of silly things. I had always thought that the mobile phone revolution was meant to help us not to irritate. I have now realised that it leads me to hate so many people each day. I don’t see why I should not hate someone who calls me and immediately starts harassing me. “Hello, why were you not picking up your phone?” Well it’s not glued to my hand in the first place. Others ask me about why I had switched it off in the first place.

…always call to blame you for all sorts of silly things.

I had always thought that the mobile phone revolution was meant to help us not to irritate. I have now realised that it leads me to hate so many people each day. I don’t see why I should not hate someone who calls me and immediately starts harassing me.

"Hello, why were you not picking up your phone?” Well it’s not glued to my hand in the first place. Others ask me about why I had switched it off in the first place.

Such fools ought to know that I am not responsible for the network problems of the telecom companies. And besides, my phone has an ‘OFF’ button and yes sometimes I use it. Well, it is my phone after all.

…visit and start ordering people around.

It is sometimes annoyingly interesting to watch how people conduct themselves when they visit. I really hate those fellows who visit and before they even settle into your hospitality they are busy calling your house maid and ordering the poor fellow around.

They send him to the shops and tell him to be fast and when he serves them food they do not have the shame to complain about how he prepared little food! Please if you are not the one who pays my house boy then I suggest you go slow on him. In any case you are a visitor not an assistant boss.

…make promises that they never fulfil.

I was taught that a promise is a debt. What they must have forgotten to say is that sometimes it is just a bad debt. Why don’t you join me in hating those jokers who always promise to visit us but never show up?

I am talking about that guy who used to sit with you in class but each time you meet he promises to pay you a visit but never makes good of his promise. One day he tells you about how busy he has been, then how he was not in town and a lot of different hogwash.

I do not starve when you don’t show up and my place is not a tourist site anyway. I just hate you for pretending to have intentions of visiting me.

…wear too much makeup. There is absolutely nothing

wrong with trying to look good after all we all love looking at nice things. The only time I get down to hating you is when you apply too much makeup and end up looking like an amateur clown.

This is not limited to women although it is a fact they are the biggest culprits. The other day I saw a lady who was wearing a lot of makeup and in different colours. At first I thought she worked for Ameki Color (a paint company) and was therefore trying to advertise the different range of paints they have in store!

…simply dress inappropriately.

I know this may seem like treason in some cases but I also have a job to do and that is to hate. I cannot end this without hating that respected gentleman who showed up to console people who had lost their families due to a landslide.

Although he publicly retired from the army more than ten years ago, he showed up in full military gear complete with an AK47 sub machine gun! Someone even joked that he had to carry the gun to shoot any survivors! Personally I wondered whether he intended to shoot the landslides!?
