Christians urged to celebrate Christmas with love

GITARAMA — Rev. Felisten Nzabandora, of saint Etienne Anglican Church has asked Christians to celebrate this year’s Christmas with utmost love, joy and unity.

 "We should forget all about the past and have joy in the birth of our lord, we should start now to celebrate like others do in Christian countries so as to build our Christian faith,” he said.

Nzabandora who has just returned from the United States reportedly to prepare his flock for Christmas celebrations was addressing over two hundred Christians of Kamonyi in Gitarama sector at Kamonyi grounds.

He urged youth to begin games and music rehearsals that would be presented on Christmas day. He said timely beginning of the rehearsals would put Christians in the Christmas mood.

Nzabandora together with other religious leaders at the function called for peace, unity and reconciliation among the Rwandese in every aspect of life.

Deogratious Kalangwa, the local area leader appealed to all the youth to get involved in celebrating Christmas and to avoid idleness.

He also encouraged families to work together to ensure harmony during Christmas celebrations among the youths.
The event was geared towards fostering unity, peace and harmony during the festive season.
