APR’s Malawi pair of Chikepo Msoweya and Victor Nyirenda has been denied permission to return home to mourn the loss of a close relative.

According to the club’s secretary general Adolphe Kalisa, the duo is expected to play a key part in the upcoming Orange Champions League second round tie against TP Mazembe.

"We can’t afford to miss them because they add a lot to the team.” Kalisa reckoned.

On a lighter note, APR’s versatile player Albert Ngabo and goalkeeper Jean Claude Ndoli have started light training. The duo, were part of the team’s training session yesterday morning at Ferwafa grounds.

Ngabo has been out with a knee injury while Ndoli missed the side’s last three games due to a back strain.
"I’m feeling better and should be back to full fitness soon,” Ndoli said.

APR’s head coach Erik Paske however has to do with out the injured Mbuyu Twite. The influential defender is sidelined for four months with a fractured ankle.

After Saturday’s league tie against Mukura, the team will embark on intensive preparations ahead of next Saturday’s first leg clash with DRC’s TP Mazembe.

TP Mazembe are the reigning African champions.
